Two children died in a fire intoxicated with gas and smoke, which occurred Thursday evening. According to the head of the Press Service of the Exceptional Situations Department, Alexandru Oprea, the fire broke out at about 22:00, in a household of the village Marcauti, Briceni raion. The fire damaged a part of the house, and the children inside the house, a girl aged 2 and her brother aged 5, died intoxicated with gas and smoke. At the moment, the investigators are establishing the causes and circumstances of the tragedy. On Thursday as well, at 15:00, a man aged 53, of the village Bilicenii Vechi, Sangerei, died after he was struck by a lightning. The victim was on a field when a strong rain started and he hided, together with other two men, into a hut. The lightning struck only him. On Thursday, June 29, 6 fires, including 3 in the capital were registered in Moldova.
