Two books launched at National Library

The National Library hosted the launch of the books “Parents like saints” by Ștefan Sofronovici and “Mammy’s dear children” by Efrosinia Sofronovici. The volumes contain religious poems that cultivate love for God and patriotism. Within the same event, there was inaugurated the branch in Chișinău of the Ascior Society for Christian Civilization of Romania, IPN reports.

The book “Mammy’s dear children” appeared a year ago, when the author turned 91. “Poems are a great consolation and joy for the soul. By them we rejoice, perceive the sadness and joy,” stated Efrosinia Sofronovici. She noted she started to wrote 37 years ago, after her husband died, so as to alleviate her pain.

Mariana Cocieru, senior specialist at the National Library of Moldova, said the two books will have an impact om the public as they promote values that were primarily lost in the epoch of globalization. “The authors urge to reorient ourselves and return to the holy things, traditions, spirituality,” she noted.

In another development, Nicolae Mușat, founding president of the Ascior Society for Christian Civilization, said it was important to open a branch in Chișinău because this is Moldova’s heart that should return to the Romanian heart, including legally. “For the purpose, we should develop Christian nationalism, real nationalism, which is the only one that can help form a new people,” stated Nicolae Mușat. Ascior branches were opened, in chronological order, in Orhei (Moldova), Mizil, Bucharest, Tulcea (Romania), Cernăuți (Ukraine), Soroca (Moldova) and now in Chișinău (Moldova).
