Two BMW-520 cars parked in a yard on Trandafirilor Street went ablaze simultaneously early this morning around 3:00 am. Liliana Puscasu of the Fire & Rescue Dept. has told Info-Prim Neo that one of the owners of the BMWs was roused by brilliant flames outside the window. Two fire crews managed to put out the blaze. Investigators are now searching the scene to establish the cause of the simultaneous fire. Three hours later, at 6:00 am, two fridges and a microwave on a balcony kitchen caught fire because of a short circuit. Also a short circuit was to blame for a fire that damaged the exterior door and the vestibule of a house in Leova town. The damage was estimated at 3,000 lei. Liliana Puscasu says that the incidence of fires caused by defective gadgetry is on the increase lately; there were reported three fires of this kind on Monday alone. 8 fires, including 3 in Chisinau, were registered yesterday.
