Twenty-five films made by and about people with special needs will be shown in Chisinau

A number of 25 films about people with special needs that were produced by such people from 13 countries of the world will be shown at Gaudeamus cinema in Chisinau between October 19 and 20. The event is an echo of the International Festival “Film Without Barriers” held in Russia and is organised by the Association “Motivation”. According to the Association’s chairman Nicolae Besliu, the best films from the previous editions of the festival as well as national films focusing on the capacities, interests and problems of the persons with special needs will be shown in Chisinau. Nicolae Besliu says that the event aims at changing the attitude of the community towards the people with special needs, who have a great potential and should be offered equal chances in the society. At the same time, the organisers want to change the attitude of the individuals with special needs that should engage more actively in the decision making and integrate into the community, Nicolae Besliu says. The films forming part of the Festival “Film Without Barriers” will be shown at Gaudeamus between 12:00 and 18:00. The entrance is free of charge.
