The Executive Committee of the Moldovan Football Federation decided that 12 teams will contend in Division A. The Committee’s meeting lasted long and the members considered allowing Dacia-Buiucani to also play in the second division, but the proposal was ultimately rejected, IPN reports.
The regulations provide that a team that has a football school can play in Division A, but the club Dacia disbanded. Codru Lozova, Saxan Ciadir-Lunga and FC Edinet were demoted and will not play in Division A.
Thus, Division A will involve Victoria Chisinau, Spicul Chiscareni, Granicerul Glodeni, Sparta Selemet, Singerei, Cahul-2005, Iskra Rybnitsa, Real Succes, FC Ungheni and Division B winners Sireti, Sparta Chisinau and Floresti.
