The Broadcasting Coordination Council (BCC) imposed fines on the TV channels “Pro TV” and “RTR Moldova” for not providing the required quotas of national programs in the program services, IPN reports.
The BCC ordered monitoring 12 TV channels in the period between April 5 and 11, namely: “PRO TV Chisinau”, “Prime”, “TV 7”, “Canal 3”, “CTC Mega”, “2 Plus”, “Super TV”, “N 4”, “Acasa in Moldova”, “Bravo”, “RTR Moldova”, and “Ren Moldova”. Irregularities were identified at a number of them.
According to the general broadcast strategy of “Pro TV”, the national programs in the program services must represent 33%, but the cannels ensured only 27.61%. The channel was fined 1.800 lei.
The broadcast strategy of “RTR Moldova” envisions 38% of national programs, but they represent only 28.78%. As it was penalized for similar violations earlier, the channel was fined 5,400 lei.
The channels “Prime”, “TV 7”, “Bravo”, and “Ren Moldova” were warned publicity over the same irregularities.
In the May 30 meeting, the BCC also issued a broadcast license to “TV RAIN”.
