Turnstile at the entrance to the capital's City Hall building to be removed

The turnstile at the entrance to the capital's City Hall building will be removed, and visitors will no longer have to leave their ID at the reception. This was announced by Mayor Ion Ceban, who went to work today, November 12, on the first day after his mandate was validated. Also, for Wednesday, the mayor plans to convene the operative meeting, attended by the leaders of the municipal subdivisions, IPN reports.

“I have good work in mind. We will have a discussion with Mr. Talmaci (Adrian Talmaci, CMC secretary, who worked as acting mayor) about the immediate priorities. Today I am going to sign more documents. First of all, I want to remove this bar from the entrance to the City Hall. Also people will no longer have to leave their ID papers at the reception. I want the City Hall to be more transparent and accessible to those who want to come here,” Ion Ceban told journalists.

The mayor has to decide on the presentation of the reports for the campaign period and of the operational plans for the end of the year. Furthermore, it has to be established who will carry out a comprehensive audit, and after the internal evaluation there should be presented clear performance indices for the heads of subdivisions or companies, and for deputy mayors.

Ion Ceban has said that today he is going to suspend his PSRM membership. He has also mentioned that shortly, he will meet all the representatives of the Chisinau City Council.

Ion Ceban was elected general mayor of Chisinau on November 3, in the second round, where he obtained 52.39% of the votes.
