More than 16% of the voting-eligible population cast their ballots in the municipality of Balti by 3 p.m. For the elections to be validated, the turnout should be at least 1/5 of the eligible voters, IPN reports.

Among those who voted, over 57% were women. Over 24% of those who cast their ballots were of the 56-65 age category, 23% - of the 66-75 age bracket, over 3% - of the 18-25 age  range, over 5% - of the 75+ age category.

In the first round of the general local elections, the voter turnout in the municipality of Balti at 3 p.m. was 25%.
