Turkish shore occupied by Moldovan football teams
Moldovan teams took by assault the Turkish shore, where they prepare for the second leg of the national championship. The first teams to go in training camps in Antalya are the bottom sides FC Costuleni and Rapid Ghidighici, Info-Prim Neo reports.
FC Costuleni will train until January 21. During this period, the team will play several friendly games, one of which will be against German side Mainz.
The squad coached by Bulgarian Velizar Popov is made up of 24 players, including some from Bulgaria, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Brazil, who are on trial. FC Costuleni’s new physio, Dudley M. Hitchman, will join the team in Antalya. The American coach signed a 1-year deal with the Moldovan club.
According to chairman Iurie Chirinciuc, Costuleni could have another training camp in Turkey at the beginning of February.
CSCA-Rapid will train between January 5 and 25 in Lara. The squad is made up of 22 players and 3 Russians on trial. Sergiu Secu’s side will play 6 friendly games against clubs from Kazakhstan, Russia and Belarus.
League leaders Sheriff Tiraspol will go to Turkey on January 24, and by the end of the month will be followed by Moldovan champions Dacia Chisinau, as well as Milsami-Ursidos Orhei and Zimbru Chisinau. Academia UTM Chisinau will start its training camp in Turkey at the beginning of February.
