Turkish official says there is room for more in collaboration between Moldova and Turkey
There are many possibilities to develop the collaboration relationships between Moldova and Turkey, Ali Dincer, the deputy chairman of the Great National Assembly of Turkey declared on June 12. The Turkish official is paying a visit to the Republic of Moldova on June 11-14.
After a meeting with the Speaker of the Parliament, Marian Lupu and with a group of MPs, the Turkish official said that the Moldovan-Turkish co-operation in different areas are good, but there is room for more. At the meeting was emphasized the necessity of excluding visa regime for the citizens of Turkey. It will contribute to the increase of investments in the Republic of Moldova, Dincer declared.
The quoted source also declared that Turkey supports the territorial integrity of the Republic of Moldova and will support Moldova in its way towards the European Union.
Marian Lupu qualified the Moldovan-Turk relationships as positive, especially in the political field. Within the discussions a special attention was drawn to the economic relationships between the two states and the collaboration of the businessmen from Moldova and Turkey, Lupu said. This visit will open new possibilities and will strengthen the relationship between the two countries, the Speaker from Chisinau declared.
On Monday in the afternoon, the deputy chairman of the Great National Assembly of Turkey will leave for the Territorial Administrative Unit Gagauz-Yeri, in southern Moldova.
The total volume of imports from Turkey, in the first 4 months of 2006, constituted about USD 30 million. In the same period, Moldova exported in this country goods amounting to USD 4 million.
