A Turkish citizen aged 59 was sentenced to 17 years in prison in Moldova for violent acts of a sexual character against a minor. The sentence was passed by the Cimislia Court and can be challenged in the Appeals Court, IPN reports.

The culprit was charged with committing acts of a sexual character in perverse forms against the seven-year-old brother of his female partner at her domicile in Moldova.

The investigation was conducted by the South Office of the Prosecutor’s Office for Organized Crime and Special Cases in concert with employees of the South Regional Division of the Bureau for Migration and Asylum of the Ministry of the Interior.
