The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu pays a visit to Moldova on April 2, at the invitation of his Moldovan counterpart Natalia Gherman. The Turkish official will have meetings with President Nicolae Timofti and Prime Minister Chiril Gaburici, IPN reports.

In a communique, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of Moldova says the discussions will center on the development of the bilateral dialogue and on the situation in the region. In the meeting with Natalia Gherman, the officials will sign a protocol of cooperation between the Government of Moldova and the Government of Turkey concerning the general development terms and conditions. Under this protocol, Turkey will offer Moldova technical assistance in different areas.

At 10am, Natalia Gherman and Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu will give a joint news conference at the head office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Chisinau.
