Turkey will organise First Black Sea Games
Turkey will organise the First Black Sea Games and will crate the Trade Centre of the Organisation of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC) during its term of Chairmanship.
According to a press release from the Embassy of Turkey in Moldova, in the term of its Chairmanship, Ankara envisages giving priority to cooperation in the areas of environment, transportation, energy, trade, telecommunications and combating organised crime. The calendar of events includes diverse activities, as ministerial meetings, working group meetings, experts meetings, training programmes, conferences and workshops.
Within this framework, meetings of the Ministers of Trade, Ministers of Transport, Ministers of Science and Technology will be held. Removing obstacles to trade will be the main theme of the BSEC Business Forum, scheduled for June 30-31. The Energy Conference will be held on June 26.
Turkey has assumed the Chairmanship-in-Office of the BSEC as of May 1, 2007, for a period of six months. The 15-th Anniversary Summit of the BSEC organised under the theme “Setting Sail for New Horizons” will be held in Istanbul on June 25.
BSEC is composed of 12 states – Azerbaijan, Albania, Armenia, Bulgaria, Georgia, Greece, Moldova, Serbia and Montenegro, Romania, Russia, Turkey and Ukraine.
