Tuition fees for artistic training of children decreased
From September 1, 2011, the tuition fees for training children in music and plastic arts schools will represent 20% of the costs incurred by the institution the previous school year, including the costs of remunerating the teachers and auxiliary personnel, the rent, payments for electric power and other expenses, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting the regulations approved by the Government. Currently, the tuition makes up 30% of the costs.
Under the regulations, the tuition fees are set depending on the category of students. Thus, the fee for training children in specialties that need individual preparation, like piano, string instruments, aerophone, panpipes, flute lessons and singing lessons will be higher than for choreography specialties, cinema, plastic arts or handicrafts lessons.
The children without both of the parents, from family type children’s homes, who are under guardianship and those who receive social allowances will be exempted from tuition. If persons from families with four and more children study at the schools, the fee for training the first child is paid fully, while for the others – only 50%.
If the student misses classes for health reasons during a month and over, the tuition fees for the given period will represent 50% of the fixed sum.
“During the last few years, the number of art schools has increased and the number of students also rose. There are applications for creating new after-school artistic education units,” said Deputy Minister of Culture Gheorghe Postica.
