Tuesday in Passion Week is second step towards eternity made by Lord Jesus Christ
Tuesday in the Passion Week is the second step towards eternity, made by Lord Jesus Christ, and has as the other days in the Passion Week its significance.
According to the Bible, Good Tuesday is dedicated to the preaching on the Olive Mountain, in which Christ prophesized the destruction of the Jerusalem Temple, and His Own resurrection. The holy services in the Christian Churches remind of the series of preaches in which Christ prophesized the destruction of the Jerusalem Temple, His death and resurrection, and the signs of the last times.
On Good Tuesday, priests usually stress on the parable of those 10 virgins waiting at the bridegroom’s door: 5 wise ones waiting with their lamps filled with oil, and 5 foolish, who fell asleep and remained without oil in their lamps. Those ten virgins are the thorn and the flower of Good Tuesday. The fruitless thorn stays happy and green till the judgment day, when hearing the call: "Here the Bridegroom comes, go and meet Him!" The foolish virgins, not having the flower of compassion, could not bear fruit for the heavenly kingdom.
The other five virgins, having their compassion as a flower, entered into the joy of God, harvesting the fruits through God’s mercy.
