Tudor Pinzari gathers wood in Chisinau’s central park to make fire

Tudor Pinzari is collecting wood in the central park of Chisinau to make a fire at night so as not to freeze. He heard that it will be very gold the coming night. The man has protested in front of the Government Building for over a year and a half. Authorities’ promises that he will receive an apartment have not been yet fulfilled. “I do not always find firewood. There are places to which I cannot get to take the fallen branches. They said it will be 12 degrees below zero the coming night. I will have to collect more wood so that I and my wife do not freeze,” Tudor Pinzari has told Info-Prim Neo’s reporter. In the hut built up in front of the Government Building, he constructed a stove that they use to heat the place and prepare food. Two weeks ago, Deputy Prime Minister Mihai Moldovanu told Info-Prim Neo that the problem has been solved. They found a house in Causeni and only expect the local councilors to adopt a relevant decision. “It is 10 years already since they started to make promises to me. They lie to me and to the people as they say I do not cooperate. A person photographed the place where I have the domicile. Everything is destroyed there. It is a waste dump. They told me they will give me an apartment ten years ago. I know there are free apartments, but they are given to somebody else,” said the man. Asked if he would accept an apartment in another town, Tudor Pinzari said he wants to live only in Causeni as there is his home and there live the people with whom he fought. Tudor Pinzari took part in the war for defending Moldova’s integrity and independence of 1992. His family had an apartment in Causeni, but the building was demolished 10 years ago. They lived at their relatives, but then put up tents and lived in front of the US Embassy in Chisinau first and then in front of the Government Building.
