A young man aged 24 from Romania’s Constanta was rushed to the Ungheni District Hospital after the truck that he was driving was hit by a train running on the Chisinau-Moscow route. The accident happened in the afternoon of September 20, near Semeni village, IPN reports.
According to a communiqué from the National Patrolling Inspectorate, the preliminary investigations showed that the truck crossed the railroad when the stoplights were red. As a result of the impact, the driver suffered a concussion and was taken to the hospital.
