A truck loaded with pebble almost entirely razed a house in Peresecina village, Orhei district, after crushing into it. The driver was hospitalized in a severe condition. The accident happened on Wednesday evening, December 28. Police Major Dumitru Croitor of the Orhei Traffic Police Commissariat told Info-Prim Neo that the truck was headed to Chisinau. At a certain moment, the driver lost control of the steering, hit another vehicle and crashed into a house near the road. One wall of the house was fully destroyed and the driver remained blocked in the truck cabin. An extrication team needed more than an hour to get him out. He suffered multiple traumas and was taken to the hospital. The house owners weren’t hurt. It is believed that the driver lost control over the truck because the brakes failed. An investigation is underway.
