The winners of the eleventh International Festival “Twin Hearts”, in memory of artists Ion and Doina Aldea Teodorovici, have been named. The trophy and the prize of 18,000 lei went to Anastasia Jantic fromChisinau. Lavinia Rusu from Chisinau became winner in the children’s section, IPN reports.

The festival brought together 39 participants from 15 states. “I was impressed by the performance of the competitors. It was rather difficult for the jury to distribute the prizes because most of the participants are very talented,” said the festival’s organizer Cristofor Aldea Teodorovici.

Romanian singer Mihai Traistariu, who is a member of honor of the jury, said the goal of contests is to discover talents. “We, those from the jury, invite them to studios and help them to showcase their talent,” he stated, adding he was satisfied with the participants’ performance.

Ion and Doina Aldea-Teodorovici died in a road accident that happened 49 km from Bucharest on October30, 1992. On November 15, when the Gala of Laureates of the Festival “Twin Hearts” is traditionally held, Doina Aldea-Teodorovici would have turned 55.
