The trolleybuses in Chisinau will have tricolors hoisted at windows in the period of May 6-9, on the occasion of Europe Days, Info-Prim Neo reports. “The flags of Chisinau and the European Union were already raised on Stefan cel Mare Blvd. They will remain hoisted throughout the period of Europe Day celebrations,” said Mayor of Chisinau Dorin Chirtoaca. Referring to the associations that promote the bicolor ribbon “Saint Gheorghe” as a symbol of the victory over fascism, the mayor said that every person is free to choose what symbols they like, but the tricolor has priority from his viewpoint. Europe Day is celebrated on May 9 and coincides with the day of victory against fascism. In Moldova, Europe Days will be marked in Chisinau and Comrat on May 12-19.
