The trolleybuses running on routes No. 22 and 24 will continue to travel according to the extended program, until 2am. Though it was initially announced that the extended program will be used until the end of October only, as the mayor general ordered, the Chisinau Electric Transport Company is waiting for a relevant decision from the Chisinau Municipal Council (CMC).

Contacted by IPN, the Company’s head Gheorghe Morgoci said the CMC is to decide if the extended program will be kept and for how long. The carried out analyses showed that the revenues during the nocturnal hours in three months totaled 196,000 lei, while the costs about 700,000 lei.

During nocturnal hours, four trolleybuses run on route No. 24, which ensures connection between the districts of Ciocana, Rascani and Centru (Telecentru quarter) and another four run on route No. 22, which connects the districts of Botanica, Centru and Buiucani.
