For over an hour, the trolleybuses running on routes No. 10 and 24 had been blocked on Mateevici St of Chisinau, the section between the streets Alecsandri and Pushkin, owing to a contact network failure.

Contacted by IPN, head of the circulation service of the Chisinau Electric Transept Company Mariana Palai said the blockage lasted from 7:10am until 8:30pm. The trolleybuses of route No. 2 were redirected to Ismail St, while those of routes No. 10 and 24, which came from Ciocana and Râcani districts were diverted to adjoining streets.

She also said that the intervention operation was difficult as the specialized vehicles encountered difficulties in reaching the place owing to the heavy traffic and didn’t have enough maneuvering space.
