A power line break has caused trolleybuses to idle for two hours on Voluntarilor Street, in Chisinau’s Ciocana district. A concrete mixer truck hit and downed about one hundred meters of one of the overhead trolley wires.
Igor Gherciu, department head at Trolleybus Depot no.3, told IPN the accident occured at around 3:00 p.m. and it took about two hours to fix the break.
Vehicle traffic was also slowed down by the accident and the ensuing repair.
