A new trolleybus route from Chisinau to Durlești – No. 35 “Mihai Viteazul St – Gh. Asachi St” - will be launched in three weeks. Five battery-powered trolleybuses will run on the new route, IPN reports.

Acting mayor of Chisinau Ruslan Codreanu, in the December 26 meeting of officials of municipal services and divisions, said the five units of transport are being assembled. These are slightly different from the trolleybuses put on rotates earlier. They have different settings and can run autonomously on a distance of 30 km.

The citizens are urged to state their opinion on the proposed itinerary of route No. 35 and to formulate suggestions as the final decision hasn’t been yet taken.

From next week, trolleybus route No. 24, which connects the districts of Ciocana and Centru, will be supplemented with five units of transport. According to Ruslan Codreanu, following complaints submitted bit citizens, they decided to put five new classical trolleybuses on this route, which is one of the most crowded routes.
