The trolleybus line that will go on the Chisinau street Columna started to be constructed two weeks ago. At the moment, the business entity that won the tender contest is placing the high-voltage cables and poles, acting head of the Public Transport and Communications Division Lilian Copaci has told IPN.

The woks on the trolleybus line will last for four-five months, if there are no circumstances that can delay the process. The technological process is complex and implies works to set up cables, poles, contact lines, etc. It is not yet known when the trolleybuses could run on the new line.

As regards the new public transport route on Albisoara St, in both directions, Lilian Copaci said the Division is designing the itineraries. The route will connect Botanica and Buiucani districts of Chisinau.
