The female trolleybus driver who in March mortally hit with the vehicle a 12-year-old girl in Ciocana district of Chisinau was given four years behind bars. She was banned from driving units of transport. The judgment was passed on Friday, July 14, IPN reports.

The judge who pounced the sentence said the woman will serve two years and six months in jail, while during the rest of the period, of one year and four months, she will be under four years’ probation.

The accident occurred on Mircea cel Bătrân Blvd on March 24. The teenage girl was struck in a crosswalk.
