Trolleybus driver beaten for not giving way to luxury car
The driver of a trolleybus running on route No. 29 in Chisinau was beaten by several men because he did not give way to the luxury car in which they were traveling.
Evelina Rusu, coordinating doctor at the Chisinau Ambulance Service, has told Info-Prim Neo that the incident happened on Petricani St at about 18.00. The men dragged the driver aged 23 out of the bus and beat him cruelly before many people's eyes.
The young man was rushed to the Emergency Hospital with a cranial-cerebral trauma, a concussion and head and facial injuries. The police in Ciocana district are investigating the case. They know the model and license number of the car.
A child aged 5 who was going along Vadul lui Voda St together with his mother was struck by a Volkswagen. The child received multiple contusions and excoriations and was admitted to Valentin Ignatenco Hospital.
A 68-year-old man was found in an alcoholic coma on Maria Dragan St this morning. He was taken to Saint Trinity Hospital for detox.
Yesterday and last night, the Chisinau Ambulance Service dealt with 733 calls, including 55 cases of acute viral infection, 22 cases of pneumonia, 85 cases of trauma, five strokes and 16 deliveries.
