None of the four candidates for post of chairman of the National Public Broadcaster “Teleradio-Moldova” garnered the number of votes needed to be appointed. Therefore, a new contest will be announced, said the head of the company’s Supervisory Board Ludmila Vasilache, quoted by IPN.

The candidates were: Stefan Secareanu, Alexandru Grosu, Nicu Scorpan, and Ion Bujor. The second round of voting involved Stefan Secareanu and Alexandru Grosu, who gained four and, respectively, three votes of the minimum of five needed.

The post fell vacant after Constantin Marin tendered his resignation last December.
