The national broadcaster Teleradio-Moldova (TRM) will not be able to hire the services of private security guard companies, under an amendment passed by Parliament today.
MP Lilian Carp (PAS), the sponsor of the bill, argued that TRM is an “institution of strategic importance” founded by Parliament, and its security cannot be “left at the discretion” of private companies.
The amendment was adopted by 58 votes and will enter into effect once published in the Official Gazette.
