Tree cleaning measures have been initiated all the districts of the capital city, on street alignments, in courtyards, parks, alleys and other green areas. The very high temperatures, which have persisted for several weeks, affected the trees, the City Hall said. On Tuesday, in Botanica district, a thick branch broke and fell on a bench on which a woman was sitting with her child in a stroller, IPN reports.

“It was proposed to implement other measures to intensify interventions. Many of the trees are old. Although at first glance they look green and healthy, they still need inspection and intervention,” said specialists of the City Hall.

The case with the fallen branch happened not far from the Zimbru stadium. It collapsed on a bench on which the woman was sitting with the child next to her, in the stroller. Fortunately, no one was hurt.
