Travel advisory issued for Middle East

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued a travel advisory for the Middle East in the context of the insecure situation caused by the war in Israel. Citizens of Moldova who are already in the region or plan to travel there, especially to countries such as Lebanon, Syria, Iran and Jordan, are advised to exercise increased caution.

It is recommended to be constantly informed, from local sources, about the security situation and to carefully comply with the instructions of the law enforcement agencies.

At the same time, Moldovan citizens who are in the area and need to be consulted on consular issues are encouraged to contact the Embassy of Moldova in Turkey: ankara@mfa.gov.md, https://turcia.mfa.gov.md, +905416872104, 24/7. Likewise, the MFA Call Center can be contacted: 0 80 090 990, toll-free from any landline in Moldova, or +373 22 23 20 02.

The Center’s operators are open from Monday to Friday between 8:00 and 17:00 (Moldova time). Outside business hours, interested persons can send a message by email to call.center@mfa.gov.md or on the Facebook page of the Call Center and the Facebook page of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
