Travel advisories for Italy, Ukraine, and Israel

Italy extended the entry restrictions for foreigners until September 30. This way, the persons who visited or transited Moldova, Armenia, Bangladesh, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brazil, Chile, Kuwait, North Macedonia, Oman, Panama, Peru, the Dominican Republic, Kosovo, Montenegro, Serbia, and Columbia, during the past 14 days will not be allowed to enter Italy, IPN reports, quoting a press release of Moldova’s Embassy in Italy.

The citizens of the EU member states and the states of the Schengen Area, of the UK, Andorra, Monaco, San Marino and Vatican, who have the domicile or residence in Italy, are an exception from this rule. These can enter Italy by filling out a statement and by self-isolating for 14 days.

Ukraine extended the ban on entry to foreigners and stateless persons until September 28. The husband/wife, parents or children of a citizen of Ukraine who cross the territory of Ukraine are an exception. They must present documents showing they will leave the country in two days, travel for study purposes etc. The list of exceptions is available on the official websites of the Ukrainian authorities.

The persons who meet the conditions for entering Ukraine must present the negative test for COVID-19, done in Moldovan labs not earlier than 48 hours before crossing the border, at state border crossing points. The foreigners and stateless persons who are banned entry to Ukraine will be allowed to cross the state border by the head of the State Border Guard Service in particular humanitarian situations.

The Ukrainian authorities extended the quarantine period until November 1, 2020 and demand to obey all the imposed protective measures.

On September 7, the Israeli authorities extended the state of alert in Israel for two months. Until October 1, the foreigners, including Moldovans, cannot enter Israel.

According to Moldova’s Embassy in Israel, mask wearing on the street and inside places, including by children older than 6, keeping of the social distance of two meters and obeying of personal hygiene in Israel remained mandatory in the period. Meetings involving more than 20 persons in closed areas and more than 30 persons in the open air are banned. Foreigners can leave Israel through the Ben-Gurion Airport.
