The most expected cinematographic premieres of the year, open-air screenings and workshops dedicated to filmmakers will transform Chisinau into a film capital during four days. The third Transylvania International Film Festival returns to Chisinau and will take place here during July 12-15. The screenings will be hosted by the Odeon Cinema, the square of the Lyceum “Gh. Asachi” and the Buiucani Cinema, IPN reports.
Thus, as of July 12, the Odeon Cinema will show the films “Anniversary” starting at 6pm and “Maria by callas” starting at 7:45pm. The next day, the festival will continue with “Foxtrot” at 6pm and “Under the tree” at 8pm.
On July 14, there will be screened the full-length Romanian films of the festival’s selection at 2pm, “Money is money” at 4:15pm, “Several conversations about a very tall girl” at 5:30pm and “The Apricot” at 8pm.
The last festival day starts with the short Romanian films of the festival’s selection at 2pm and continues with “Free Dacians” at 4:16pm, “The Heiresses” at 5:30pm and “Tarzan’s Eggs” at 7:30pm. Tickets cost 30 to 200 lei.
On each day of the festival, there will be shown by a free film, all in the square of the Lyceum “Gh. Asachi” and the Buiucani Cinema, at 10pm. On July 12, the moviegoers can see “Untamed Romania”, on July 13 – “Short circuit”, on July 14 - “Charleston” and on July 15 – “Le fidele”.
According to the organizers, the Transylvania International Film Festival Chisinau aims to become an annual event with traditions in Moldova, which would bring the most recent productions launched and awarded at festivals and blockbusters to support and promote local cinematography and to shape the opinions of the young generation.
