The General Public Transport and Communications Division will ask the Chisinau Municipal Council (CMC) to allocate more money for marking the pedestrian crossings with thermoplastic material. A sum of 4 million lei is needed for the purpose, the Division’s head Adrian Boldurescu has told Info-Prim Neo. The municipal budget passed by the councilors in the first reading includes 2.5 million for road marking. This sum enables to mark the crosswalks only with paint, which lasts for up to a year only. “We hope that this year the sum will be larger,” said Adrian Boldurescu. The works to mark the crosswalks will start when the temperatures rise to 15 degrees Celsius. The crossings at schools and kindergartens, on boulevards and main arteries will be marked first of all.
