Transport Division acting head asked to leave meeting hall

Acting mayor of Chisinau Silvia Radu and acting head of the General Public Transport and Communications Division Oleg Poiata exchanged replies in the November 27 meeting of officials of municipal services and divisions. The heated argument between the two followed the presentation of the plan to ease road traffic in Chisinau. Silvia Radu requested Oleg Poiata to leave the meeting hall, IPN reports.

When Oleg Poiata started to present the plan, Silvia Radu interrupted him, dissatisfied with the fact that only explanations and justifications and no concrete solutions were provided. “You do not have time and I do not have time either to listen to what you will tell me - explanations and justifications. Mister Poiata, go out if you don’t understand. I do not need explanations. I’m your chief and you should obey and respect the discipline imposed at this meeting,” stated the acting head.

Oleg Poiata tried to reply, saying that as he is reproached for particular things in public, he would like to give an answer in public, not in the office of the mayor, as Silvia Radu suggested.

After the meeting, Oleg Poiata told the press that the previous time he was reproached for the fact that his presentation was too long and he thus prepared a shorter one this time. He wanted to explain the measures and the time limits for these. “I don’t know what we should add here for Missis Radu to be satisfied with our presentation,” he stated, adding that the intention to send him off was unjustified.
