The five zones with the highest concentration of road accidents in the Transnistrian region were identified and mapped, Novi Region agency reported. According to the senior inspector of the so-called ministry of the interior on the left bank of the Nistru, Mihai Bernaz, the most dangerous road is the one between Pervomaisk and Tiraspol. Most accidents involve drivers that transit Moldovan territory in high gear. For two years in a row, accidents have been occurring frequently in Caragas village, Slobozia district. The other dangerous regions are in the districts of Rabnita, Dubasari and Grigoriopol, especially on the 15 km road between Tiraspol and Vladimirovca village. According to Mihai Bernaz, the lack of speed bumps might be one of the causes. In the whole Transnistrian region, there are only four speed bumps: two in the center of Slobozia and two near the school in Caragas village.
