The COVID-19 certificates issued in the Transnistrian region are recognized in the European Union. The information was communicated by the Tiraspol TV channel Pervyi Pridnestrovskii (First Transnistrian), which quoted the region’s chief sanitary doctor Natalia Beril as saying, IPN reports.
“The information about immunization against COVID-19 is introduced in the electronic vaccination register. This register is shared with the Republic of Moldova. This way, after introducing information in this program, a vaccine certificate with a QR code can be obtained. The National Public Health Agency of the Republic of Moldova developed this program together with the WHO Regional Office for Europe,” stated Natalia Beril.
She noted that the certificates issued in the region have the same format as those issued on the right side of the Nistru and are recognized by the Europeans countries.
The Ministry of Health of the Republic of Moldova on November 15 informed that the European Commission adopted the decision to equate the national COVID-19 certificates with those in the European Union’s digital certification system. This means that as of November 16, Moldovan certificates will be treated equally with those issued in the EU.
