Since February 1, Energocom has delivered 5.7 million cubic meters of natural gas to the Transnistrian region, IPN reports.
"The gas destined for the Transnistrian region was purchased from exchanges in Romania and Bulgaria, transported through the Trans-Balkan corridor and the Iasi-Ungheni gas pipeline," the company said.
The European Union has allocated €30 million in emergency grant aid to Moldova, €20 million of which will be used as humanitarian aid for the Transnistrian region and earmarked for domestic consumers, schools and social objectives.
From the other €10 million Energocom buys electricity daily from BRM and OPCOM for consumption on the right bank of the Dniester.
