The largest sociopolitical organization in Transnistria, "Republica", which is an active participant in the most important political events in the self-proclaimed republic, has joined the social-patriotic block, Info-Prim Neo's correspondent in Tiraspol reports. According to Vladimir Ryliakov, the head of the Republican Party's Political Council, the social-patriotic block is created as part of a project devised about three years ago, which provides for the union of all the patriotic forces. “All those who share the same spiritual values and aim to strengthen the republic join today their forces,” Ryliakov said. Igor Ivanenko, the head of the Transnistrian Patriotic Party's Executive Committee, said that the block will designate its own representatives for posts in the state public administration. This will enable to control a number of state institutions, including by participating in the legislative process. Thus, they will be able to change the present situation when the society is involved only in crisis situations or when the bills are already formulated and are made public.
