The Transnistrian paramilitary forces were withdrawn from the posts set up in Bender town. The decision was taken by the Joint Control Commission in a meeting, IPN reports, quoting a communiqué from the Commission.
The Moldovan side warned the delegations to the Commission that the actions to intimidate the people and to block the work of the law enforcement bodies in Bender are inadmissible. It asked adopting guarantees so as to avoid incidents in the future and warned about the inadmissibility of blocking the activity of the military observers whose task is to document the incidents in the Society Zone.
On February 20, the number of representatives of the security forces of Transnistria at the posts in the area was significantly increased. The people who crossed these posts were treated in a hostile way.
