Transnistrian health ministry warns about poor condition of rural medical centers

The ministry of health and social protection of Transnistria asks the central authorities of the region to intervene and provide adequate support to the rural medical centers, Info-Prim Neo's correspondent in Tiraspol reports. There are 67 centers in the Transnistrian villages. Though at least three specialists must work in every rural medical center, some of the centers have only one specialist and this specialist not always has higher education, said the Transnistrian deputy minister of health Svetlana Arkadieva. She also said that these medical institutions do not have the necessary medical equipment, while the buildings are badly in need of repair. The district councils demand that these medical centers be transferred to them, as they did in Russia.
