The teachers in the Transnistrian region will have to do a number of medical tests to prove that they are in good health by the start of the new school year. The employees working in the food industry and the public transport sector are obliged to do such tests two times a year. The medical examination for budget-paid employees is free of charge. The other employees will pay between 15 and 80 rubles (21-111 lei), Info-Prim Neo’s correspondent in Tiraspol reports. Alexandru Kogan, the head of the Preventive Medical Control Division of the Tiraspol Clinic No. 1, said that among the examined employees there were identified persons infected with HIV, syphilis, salmonella, tuberculosis, especially among drivers. Over 12,000 employees were subjected to medical examination at this clinic in the first half of the year.
