Transnistrian economic entities will continue to benefit from EU autonomous trade preferences

The Government of Moldova adopted a decision, extending the term for declaring goods for the Transnistrian economic entities for an unlimited period from January 1, 2010, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting sources in the Reintegration Office. The measure is aimed at ensuring favorable conditions for foreign trade for the companies working in the eastern districts of Moldova, at supporting the population and the region and building confidence in the context of the Transnistrian conflict settlement talks. The decision allows the Transnistrian economic entities to benefit in continuation from the autonomous trade preferences granted by the EU to Moldova and to easier overcome the difficulties caused by the world economic crisis. The Moldovan Government wanted to show that they do not intend to constrain the Transnistrian companies to pay additional contributions into the state budget.
