Transnistrian drivers will take national license exams. Government approved

The government has approved a draft law introducing exams for drivers from the Transnistrian region who want to obtain the national license on the basis of the license issued in the left bank of the Dniester river and in Bender municipality. They will have to take both theoretical and practical exams at the Public Services Agency, IPN reports.

According to ASP, the theoretical and practical exams can be taken at the territorial subdivisions in Chisinau and Balti municipalities. In this regard, applicants are urged to schedule their exams online by visiting the agency's website.

"The new measures will help increase the quality of driver training, ensuring that licenses issued in these regions comply with national and international rules. At the same time, Transnistrians will be given the opportunity to benefit from the right to exchange their driving licenses in several countries of the world without having to take exams, thanks to agreements concluded by the Moldovan government," a press release said.

The new provisions enter into force as soon as they are published in the Official Journal.
