Transnistrian districts invited to participate in social projects implemented in Moldova by foreign donors
The districts located on the left bank of the river Nistru, in the Transnistrian region, can take part in the social projects implemented in Moldova with support from international organizations and donors. The subject was discussed at a meeting of the working group for building confidence between Chisinau and Tiraspol in the area of humanitarian aid that was held in Chisinau on March 23.
Deputy Minister of Labor, Social Protection and Family Sergiu Sainciuc has told Info-Prim Neo that the joint participation in social projects will lead to closer cooperation between the two banks of the Nistru in solving social problems.
The Transnistrian delegates expressed readiness to get involved in projects concerning migration and support to victims of human trafficking and to HIV-infected persons, Sergiu Sainciuc said.
The meeting discussed aspects of the social protection of the population and provision of humanitarian aid. The next meeting of the joint group of experts will take place in the second half of May. It will center on labor-related issues.
The eight confidence building groups resumed work in February. The meetings held so far focused on health protection, combating of organized crime, agriculture, education, demilitarization and other topics.
