The Tiraspol-based blood transfusion centre and similar institutions in Tighina and Rybnitsa received a lot of specialised modern equipment, Info-Prim Neo. The donation comes in line with the presidential confidence-building measures. Vladimir Voronin stated at the equipment donation ceremony that the actions conducted in the framework of National Programme on transfusion safety have contributed to improving the quality of blood transfusion services, but, unfortunately, not all over Moldova. “We cannot remain indifferent about the quality of these services in the Transnistrian region”, the presidential press service quoted Vladimir Voronin as saying. In about a month, the beneficiaries will receive the second lot of blood transfusion equipment. In addition to the medical equipment worth 400,000 euros, the authorities intend to provide training to the medical staff.
