The Transnistrian authorities want to subsidize the university and vocational education only for the students committing to work as distributed on graduation. The idea is authored by Tiraspol leader Igor Smirnov and his justice minister, Info-Prim Neo's correspondent in Transnistria. “On graduation, the students, including the ones who have got state subsidies, get employed by private companies or leave the area. It's necessary to introduce the practice of state commissioning in order to provide factories with qualified specialists,” said Elena Bomeshko, an advisor to Smirnov. She says the system is successfully practiced in Russia. The students shall sign a contract with the education ministry of the area when being admitted. The university graduates will have to work as distributed 5 years. Otherwise the education ministry can ask for its money used to educate the specialist. The idea is likely to be implemented starting 2010.
