Transnistrian authorities to allot extra 24m rubles for repairing roads
Three fourths of the roads in Transnistria are in need of repair. An additional 24 million rubles (34.4 million lei) will be allocated for repairing the roads as part of an anti-crisis program implemented by the local authorities, Info-Prim Neo's correspondent in Tiraspol reports.
More roads have been repaired or built this year under the given program and with money transferred from the region's budget. A sum of 85 million lei was used to rehabilitate and construct 120 kilometers of road.
Elvira Beht, chief engineer of Tirasavtodor, said that 80% of the measures stipulated in the repair and construction program have been implemented so far. The roads in Transnistria are 1,279 kilometers long.
