The Transnistrian administration owes US$1.3 million to local carriers for transport concessions granted to certain categories of people. The head of the Association of Carriers of Transnistria Mihail Croitman said the debt accumulated in 2012-2013, “Novyi Region” Agency reported on its website, quoted by IPN.
“The officials say that we, the private carriers, invoke exaggerated sums. If this is so, they should themselves provide public transport for beneficiaries of transport concessions. There are only two ways out of this situation – either the administration clears the debt or the transport concessions are annulled,” said Mihail Croitman.
The carriers accuse the administration of the Transnistrian region of not having a constructive dialogue with them. They said they would accept the debt to be paid in installments, if such a variant was proposed to them.
