Transnistrian administration aims to revitalize local tourism

The number of tourists in the Transnistrian region fell drastically during 20 years, while the tourism industry was reduced to the minimum, said people working in the sector. In this connection, the Transnistrian authorities informed that they plan to design tourist routes through the region and to include them in a common register, IPN reports.

According to “Novyi Reghion” Agency, Ludmila Tsehovici, director of the tourist complex “Dnestrovskii Sad” situated in Dubasari, said that they make effort to provide services of a high quality to the people, but are concerned about the very low number of tourists. “If local tourism is not revitalized, our work will be useless,” she said. There is currently no institution in Transnistria responsible for the improvement of the situation in the tourism sector.

The third investment forum will take place in the Transnistrian region on June 6-7 and the economic entities, including those from the tourism industry, are invited to exhibit their offers.
